About

Mia Najor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

My main goal in working with people is to help empower them using truth without judgment. I bring realness and warmth into the room with my clients and it is my utmost priority to build a strong relationship with them. I strive to do the work as an AntiRacist Clinician. I am a HEALTH AT EVERY SIZE advocate.

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist and have experience treating mood disorders, relationship issues, family conflict, and self esteem issues. I specialize in the treatment of disordered eating, eating disorders, and body image dissatisfaction. Since 2013, I have been working with the eating disorder population including adolescents, adults, and families. I have worked at various levels of treatment care including residential, day treatment, and intensive outpatient. I incorporate components of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy into my practice. I also provide Solution Focused Therapy and EMDR.

I completed intensive training in Radically Open DBT in 2018. I am supervised by Dr. Angela Klein, who is the only other intensively trained RO-DBT Therapist in San Diego, California. I provide RO-DBT services at Centered Ground in Carlsbad California.

I am multicultural and LGBTQIA affirming. I am passionate about social justice.

I earned my bachelor’s degree from Cal State University San Marcos in 2009. I then went on to earn my master’s degree at Azusa Pacific University in 2013.
